Here we go! Welcome to Week 1 of Reverse 4s Co-ed Winter League.
Please ensure that your team arrives to the gym ahead of the scheduled play time to check-in and warm-up. Please pay close attention to your gym time and location as these will change on a weekly basis.
Feel free to help our staff set up to help everyone get as much playing time as possible :)
Note about pools: We did our best to rank teams based on previous results in our leagues. If you are in a pool that is lower or higher than your team's skill level, please have patience and use it as an opportunity to experiment and warm up for the season - you'll be where you need to be soon enough! For the first two weeks only, two teams will move up and two will move down. After two weeks, only the winner of each pool will move up and the loser will be moved down. The week one pools are below. We are excited to kick off the season - it looks to be a very competitive group! Lastly, we will be doing playoffs slightly different this season and running them over two weeks. We will post the details once finalized.

In addition to standard court volleyball rules, the following rules apply to Reverse 4s:
- Men must attack from behind the attack/3 meter line.
- Men may only block against men.
- No open-handed tips (roll shots, “pokeys”, etc. are allowed)
- No setting the ball across the net.
- For men, the VB must cross one line, besides the net, if one is inside the 3 meter line (no inside to inside play)
- Males are allowed to attack overbump passes from within the attack line area, if they occurred on the first or second contact by the opposing team.
- Any discrepancies, just re-serve.
- Call out the score prior to each serve.
Ceiling/Roof Play Rule:
If the ball contacts the ceiling in the playing area and within your own side of the court, it remains in play. If the ball contacts the ceiling out of bounds or ends on the opponent’s side of play, it is considered out of bounds/loss of point.
*This rule does not include the basketball hoops above the court of play. Contact with the basketball hoops above the court of play is a dead ball.
*Playoff Roster Eligibility RuleTeams must use the same roster they started the season with to be eligible for playoff championships and prizes.
- Injury exception: If a player was injured and a sub has played for 3+ regular-season weeks, that same sub may be used in playoffs.
- Last-minute playoff subs: Must be equal skill level to the player they are replacing.
- Captain approval: All captains may agree before playoffs begin to approve a replacement as eligible for prizes.
- No upgrades for playoffs: Bringing in a higher-level player only for playoffs makes the team ineligible for championships and prizes.
